HybridSession Privacy Policy

HybridSession is an independent Garmin Connect IQ beta application for planning and recording hybrid workouts.

Information processed

The watch stores workout configuration, progress, declared results, and local summary data on the watch. During a workout, it can read heart-rate data and the user’s running heart-rate-zone thresholds to display and record workout statistics. Workout recordings are saved by the Garmin device through Garmin’s normal FIT and Garmin Connect flow.

If you choose to transfer a session from the HybridSession web editor, the service temporarily processes the session configuration you created, a temporary download code, its expiry time, and technical connection data needed for rate limiting. The service stores a one-way hash representation of the code. Revoked transfers are removed; expired transfers are unavailable for download and may remain in storage until a subsequent transfer is created or revoked. It does not require a name, email address, Garmin account token, location, or payment information.

The web editor stores your session in your browser and stores the download code and revocation credential there. You can clear these using your browser’s site-data controls.

Use and sharing

HybridSession uses this information only to provide the requested workout and session-transfer features. It does not sell data or use advertising trackers. This public privacy page is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical connection data when you visit it. Garmin Connect separately handles any activity uploaded through Garmin’s services under Garmin’s own privacy policy.

Retention and control

Workout data remains on your Garmin device and Garmin account according to your Garmin settings. Temporary web transfers expire after 15 minutes and can be revoked from the editor before they are downloaded. You can delete sessions and reports from the watch using the app’s controls.
